Cookie Policy

The short version
We use a handful of cookies, all of them necessary to make the site work. We run no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party analytics. Nobody is following you around the internet because you visited a radio station.
That is why you do not see a consent banner: under EU law, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. If we ever add anything beyond them, you will be asked first.
What we actually set
xanawave-session
Keeps you logged in as you move between pages. Without it you would have to sign in on every click. Expires when you close the browser, or after two hours of inactivity.
XSRF-TOKEN
Protects forms from being submitted by another site on your behalf. A standard security measure. Same lifetime as the session.
remember_web_…
Set only if you tick "remember me" when signing in. Lets you return without typing your password. Lasts up to a year, or until you sign out.
All three are set by us, on our own domain. None of them is readable by anyone else.
On a station's public page
Listening to a station sets no cookies at all. The player remembers your volume and whether you muted it, but that is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device — it never reaches us.
If a listener sends a song request, we briefly record the IP address to stop one person flooding the station. That is not a cookie, and it is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Turning them off
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking ours will stop you signing in — the session cookie is how the site knows who you are — but browsing a public station page will still work.
Questions
Write to info@xanawave.com. If you ask us something specific about cookies, you will get a specific answer, not a copied paragraph.
